Founded in 2002 in Santa Monica, CA, ButterflyVista, LLC was born out of a need to create a software design company devoted to solving common problems of everyday people through technology and innovation, not rules, processes, and bottom line profits like large corporations.
While it may be cliché to say that the world is speeding up, many of our lives have undergone tremendous change in the past 25 years. Still, some of our most basic contact management needs have not been met. Suffice it to say, many of us are still not quite equipped to meet the challenges of a global economy. The cycle of employment and unemployment appears to be a fairly constant ever since the late 1970s and leveraging contacts has become increasingly important. Up until now, the most viable choice for candidates to find work was to network with friends, search job boards and contact staffing services. The latter two methods hold their allegiance to the employers. Similarly, independent artists are now finding it increasingly difficult to reach potential fans without spending limited resources on poorly targeted messaging that rarely increases sales or reach.
This is where ButterflyVista, LLC comes in. For candidates, we created JobFish in 2004 to make contact and resume relationship easier than ever before. Integrated with OfficeDove, JobFish provides the motivation and career development tools necessary to help people find good paying jobs and manage the job application, interview and resume management process with ease.
A year later, in 2005, we provided similar solutions for independent artists. Indeed, contact management was not just an issue for job seekers but for artists as well. So we formed a joint venture partnership with Cinnamon Entertainment Group LLC to provide database management and lead generation technology solutions for Online Promotions Group and its core product, HollywoodPrize.com, an entertainment marketing sweepstakes contest, mobile marketing and independent artist CRM tool.
Today, we have taken HollywoodPrize.com to new heights. Leveraging AJAX and the latest version of PHP, we now help marketers, record labels and production companies with a wide variety of mobile marketing solutions including SMS Text Messaging, Mobile Short Code, and Video Voting and Instant Win promotions.
